Songlin Wang is Professor of English and Vice Dean of Faculty of Foreign Languages, Ningbo University, China. He is currently Vice General Secretary of International Association for Ethical Literary Criticism (IAELC) and Vice President of the Society of Comparative Literature and Foreign Literature of Zhejiang Province, China. His research interests include 19th century English fiction and culture, sea literature, modernism and ethical literary criticism. His recent publications include A Study on the Theory of Ethical Literary Criticism (co-authored, Peking University Press, 2020), “‘The Defence of Poesy’: On the Ethical Teaching Function of Literature” (2021, Interdisciplinary Studies of Literature, vol. 5, no.1, 2021, pp.46-55), etc.
